We are so excited to Introduce Living Proof Equestrian who is a boutique breeding, schooling and coaching yard based in Kaitaia, Far North. Alongside a fantastic team of riders and handlers, it is led by Pai Cunningham who is originally from Hawaii, USA. A sixth-generation professional horse trainer, Pai specialises in breeding and producing pinto saddle hunter ponies, as well as helping many people in the wider equine community to get the very best from their horses and ponies. With over 30yrs experience and a huge competitive background, Pai now focuses primarily on producing and campaigning youngstock sired by Northern Star, a stallion owned by Northern Sporthorses. Their very busy calendar means that you will often see LPE horses out and about- with active competitors in showing, dressage, hunter jumping, show jumping, and lots more. Team LPE uses products from The Honey Trap for everything from day to day (hoof products, fly repellent, wash bars, medicinal honey, and leather care) right through to show day where presentation and quality is key. When you see a Team LPE horse in the ring, they have been prepared using grooming products from The Honey Trap, every time, everywhere!

Trevalda Irish Sport Horse
Tracy Crossan has two purebred Irish Draught stallions (both imported), a handful of purebred mares, one of the biggest purebred Irish Draught herds outside of UK and Ireland. The young horses that she breeds are highly sought after and most are sold at weaning, including a lovely young purebred colt that was exported to Australia.
As well as the breeding horses, Tracy has two horses that she is currently competing on, mostly in showing classes but also dabbling in dressage and jumping.
These two horses have won many titles between them including but not limited to: Rising Star Saddle Hunter Horse of The Year, Paced and Mannered Saddle Hunter Horse of The Year, Winner of the prestigious Gee Whizz Showing Trophy at HOY, Supreme Horse at Canterbury A&P, Supreme Champion Paced and Mannered Horse at Canterbury A&P (both of them).

Shannon has been riding for 25+ years, competing in dressage, eventing, show jumping and showing. I’ve competed at North Island Pony Club Show Jumping champs x5, NZ PC dressage champs x2 where she was part of the winning senior team and winning overall teams, taking out highest placed first-time rider to champs the first year. I was 1st reserve for the NZPC eventing team x2.
12 years ago, Shannon moved to Invercargill to work in a harness racing stable, where her passion grew, and has since produced a number of off the track thoroughbreds and standardbreds, with her 2 most famous standys being Spankem who she started under saddle from scratch and Thefixer. In 2018 Shannon took out my harness racing trainer’s license. Shannon has won 20 races and 53 placings to date, with 11wins coming from her stable favorite Ivana Legacy. She’s travelled a lot to Christchurch, including racing NZ Cup Day in Christchurch twice.
Shannon has 2 broodmares who live at the stud, and both are in foal currently. A weanling who will go through the 2025 Standardbred yearling sales. 2x kid’s ponies, Amberleigh Marlissa who is a new pony to the family and hoping will be staying for a long time. And little Norby who has his couple of shows each year, but now Shannons son has the showing bug and wants to join in the pleasure classes at A & Ps.
Shannon is a Trainer for the HERO Programme also with helping off the track standardbreds have a good start to there life after racing and find great homes to continue their education.
